Where are you located? Do you travel?
I am located out of Alexandria, Virginia, but I am ALWAYS ready to travel and really hope you ask!
What is your photographic approach?
My photographic style is organic, candid and artistic. I would say I should about 85% of the day photo journalistically and 15% posed.
Do you limit the amount of photos you take?
I will never limit the amount of photos I take or deliver. Your images will represent the day as it went in a compelling and artistic way.
Will you help guide us for portraits?
I will never tell you to stand there and look natural. I don’t even know what “look natural” means! I will guide you in an organic and fun way. I will guide, but will really be looking for those in-between, authentic moments….they are my favorite = )
Do you photograph guests?
YES! I am a huge fan of guests and understand that they are there because they mean so much to you. I make it my goal to make sure I capture every guest at some point throughout the day. They are part of your story and deserve to be in your storybook.
What are your rates for Weddings?
I offer wedding collections beginning at $2,800. If you would like specific information on what I offer, please contact me. I can’t wait to hear from you!
How do I reserve you to photograph my wedding?
Once I receive a signed copy of your wedding contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer – the date is saved! Unfortunately, I cannot lock-in your date until I have received both items.
Should we consider adding a second photographer?
A second photographer gives you another artistic eye to capture your special day. A second shooter allows me to be in two places at once. I can send the second photographer to capture the groom and groomsman getting ready, while I stay with the ladies. It also allows a different perspective so you get all sides of the story…both the bride and grooms faces during their vows, both the audiences and couple’s reaction, etc.
Who would be our second shooter?
I have a strong group of photographers that second shoot for me.
How much time should we set aside on our wedding day for portraits?
I recommend 25-35 minutes of time to take pictures of the two of you! This will allow enough time for a variety of photos, as well as a chance to relax and take in the fact that you just got married! Please note, that this does not include the time needed for formal portraits of the family and bridal party.
Do you have a back-up camera & lenses?
Most definitely! I will never show up to a wedding without these…they are essentials.
Do you have liability insurance?
I have full liability and equipment insurance.
What happens if there is an emergency situation and you are unable to photograph my wedding?
In the highly unlikely event that I am unable to photograph your wedding, I will do everything in my power to find a replacement. I have an emergency list of photographers that have very similar styles and personalities. I also am a member of multiple professional photography groups, which would allow me to easily find a replacement.
How long does it take to receive my photos?
Weddings can take up to four weeks for completion. However, I always try to complete them before then…I understand the anticipation J. The week after your wedding, I will post a sneak peek on Instagram and Facebook to hold you over!
Do I have permission to print the photos? Can I use them online?
You will be given permission to use the photographs for personal use. This will allow you to print the images at any photo lab of your choice. You will not be allowed to sell, edit or advertise the images. We can talk about submitting the images for publication!
Can I post my images on social media?
Most certainly! When posting your images online (Facebook, Instagram, etc., please give photo credit to Rebecca Wilcher Photography.
