Eaton DC Wedding

I don’t have words to describe how wonderful Katie, Nfally, and their families are! There was a moment during the ceremony at Eaton DC that Nfally couldn’t stop crying. It was the most beautiful and raw moment. It’s also a simple story that represents them and their story perfectly. It was such a blessing to get to know them and be their wedding photographer.

Here is their story form Katie’s perspective:

We were both using Match.com, and Nfally (brave man that he is) sent me a simple message that said "Hi, cooking is very easy :)". Obviously, this immediately piqued my interest. Those who know me know that I do not cook. I rarely have anything but water in the fridge. A man that cooked, now that was HUGE. Our messaging eventually led to an exchange of phone numbers to plan a date. Being an old fashioned guy, Nfally insisted we talk on the phone before our first date...I liked him enough to pretend that I didn’t hate talking on the phone, and eventually I taught him to text me back. Lots of rice, peanut butter soup, and Tom Thumb chicken wings later, and I have started cooking a few meals every week and you can (sometimes) find food in our fridge that I actually made! In this way - and so many others - Nfally continuously supports me, encourages me and brings out the best in me. He challenges me to be the best version of myself I can be, and I can't wait to marry this man and build a life together. Dating Nfally is such a fun experience. When I think back to the beginning...he really wanted to get to know me and build a friendship first - I really thought he wasn't interested in me because he was so respectful to me, but he kept asking me out! When he FINALLY held my hand I about died with happiness. I am so proud of who he is and how he treats every person he meets. "Stay close to people who feel like sunlight" sums it up for me. He spreads love, light and goodness.
